Perfect Score

Anyone who’s ever taken a trip to the bowling alley with friends knows that rolling a perfect game is next to impossible. Twelve strikes in a row seems like such an incredible feat that most of us never even think about achieving it. Irma Wenzel, 79, did more than just think about it – she did it! A member of the senior league at Red Rock Lanes at Red Rock Resort, Irma hit the perfect score of 300 during league play on September 26th and was presented with a commemorative trophy.

Irma has played at Red Rock Lanes since the center opened along with the property in 2006, and league play brings her to the bowling alley at least twice a week. While her feat was undeniably impressive, Irma’s no stranger to big accomplishments. This lifetime athlete has also hiked the Alps and once won the national pistol championships more than a half century ago. With a perfect bowling game now under her belt, Irma has one more incredible exploit to add to her list.
